This weekend's appointment to visit old friends in Pudong, I specifically chose Luxemon Hotel Pudong Shanghai. It's only a 3-minute walk from Exit 6 of Century Avenue subway station. As soon as I walked out of the subway, the fireworks and modernity of the core area of the Magic City collided. Turning into the block where the hotel is located, the noise was instantly separated, and the exhaustion of the journey dissipated as soon as I stepped in.
As a boutique business hotel next to Lujiazui, the entrance does not have the assembly line feel of a chain hotel. The warm toned wooden decoration is matched with soft warm light. There are many old Shanghai local magazines on the bookshelf in the corner of the lobby, and flipping through two pages casually brings the atmosphere of old Shanghai to life. When checking in, the front desk staff smiled and handed me warm lemon water. Upon learning that it was my first time visiting a niche spot in Pudong, they not only took the initiative to provide a hand drawn map of the surrounding area, but also thoughtfully marked the hidden cafes next to Century Avenue and the sunset viewing spots along Lujiazui Riverside. They even quietly reminded me of the night view routes to avoid the crowds on the Bund.
The city view room I booked felt particularly comfortable when I pushed open the door. The space was spacious and transparent, without the pungent decoration smell commonly seen in new hotels. The fresh air system in the whole house was quietly running, and there was a faint aroma of white tea in the air. Standing by the window, you can see the traffic of Century Avenue extending along the city's veins. In the distance, the spire of the Lujiazui three piece set shines in the sunlight. Even in the heart of Pudong, where land is precious, the room space is not cramped at all. Local specialty snacks are placed next to the specially reserved leisure sofa. When you get tired of strolling inside, your nerves relax as you sink in.
What surprised me the most was the attention to detail. The rainy season in Shanghai had just ended, and the pre prepared dehumidification bag and shoe dryer in the room perfectly solved my problem of wet shoes on rainy days. Free freshly ground coffee and cold white coffee are available in the public areas on each floor. After strolling the streets, you can easily pick up a cup. The bedding is dry and fluffy, and the mattress is just right in terms of softness and hardness. After walking all day back to the room and lying on the bed, the soreness and swelling all over your body quickly dissipated. The bathroom has a complete separation of dry and wet areas, and the smart toilet and thermostatic shower are particularly convenient to use. The hot water comes out quickly and steadily, and you don't have to wait for half a day to take a comfortable hot shower.
The next day, I woke up to have a buffet breakfast. The category took into account the tastes of both the north and the south. The freshly fried Shanghai Cong you bing was crisp outside and tender inside. The freshly boiled salty soybean milk was burnt, and even the bottom of the raw fried bun was fried golden and crisp. After dinner, walk for 10 minutes to Century Park and leisurely stroll until evening. Follow the riverside trail to watch the sunset, and the neon lights in Lujiazui light up a bit. On the way back to the hotel, you can buy a cup of hot coffee on the street. I didn't want to go out at night, so I went directly to the hotel's specialty restaurant to have dinner. Our dishes were authentic and delicious. The signature Braised pork belly was fat and not greasy, so I didn't have to go out to find online stores to queue up.
The location of Luxemon Hotel Pudong Shanghai is really convenient. It takes only 15 minutes to walk to Lujiazui Riverside and 20 minutes to ride a shared bike to the Bund. If you want to explore the business district or check in the city landmarks, you can just lift your foot and leave. Before leaving, I took a few photos in the hotel lobby and looked at the guests passing by and the staff greeting me with a smile. Suddenly, I felt that finding such a suitable place to stay in the fast-paced Pudong was a small stroke of luck on my journey. Next time I come to stay in Pudong, I will definitely return here to stay.Show more
